The two Chinese movies that I watched together with my wife was Storm Warriors and Bodyguards and Assassins. Both are action movies.
Storm Warriors
The storyline is very simple. One very bad person but very powerful that no one at that time can defeat him. Then there were two young heroes try to defeat him. As their current skills were not enough to defeat him, they go to learn new skills. One learns from dark skills and another from new sword skills. After they got new skills, defeated the bad guy, then they fight each other. Then one of them die. End.
Bodyguards and Assassins
This is a better movie. Many famous actors starred on that movie. It's about group of people who believe in freedom (liberal) try to do everything to protect one man, Dr. Sun Yat Sen, from being killed even though they do not know who he is.
Sang Pemimpi
The sequel of "Laskar Pelangi". Good storyline even though acting wise is not so good.
